What kind of a nation are we becoming South Africans?

A nation high on reconciliation yet we can't really let the past to rest. How can a nation move forward if its whole being is forever turned to the past, the past is always blamed for present's failures.

Its sad to see what our future has turned out to be. The only thing that is developing is more wars, blood being spilled everywhere. Who would have known that democracy and a better life meant ordinary South Africans fighting each other. Is money more important than lives? when will we stop mourning a continuous death toll we have began to put ourselves in, all in the hunger for better lives?

Those that are meant to protect are now the ones killing. Safety has gone with the wind, even kids can't play freely in the streets anymore. The one person you see as the one you trust is the one to inflict pain on you. What happened to a little bit of humanity? Maybe just some form of care for another soul?. I mean how insane is it that a grown man can find pleasure in rapping a toddler? What kind of a nation are we ?

The education system is also failing the kids that just like us were led to believe the future will be better. The education offered to kids now is basically preparing them for disaster, the will be holding academic certificates yet unemployable due to the knowledge they have obtained. If we fail the kids then we are falling ourselves.

What everyone must ask themselves is who are we? Where are we going with this internal war we have set among our fellow human beings and what kind of kids do we want these kids to become. There must be another way forward for us as a nation that does not include all these wars, violence, manipulation and disgrace to the past we value so much.
